Also, it's now called DRIFT & CRADLE.

Over the course of editing and re-writing my upcoming novel Seven Drifts, I had a chance to go over the CRADLE scene again.

It has moved around the story timeline since the first time I first wrote it and shared it. When I first wrote CRADLE, I saw it as the possible beginning to the novel. Later, I placed it much farther in the story, with minimal changes; somewhere near the end of the first act. But now, in this brand new overhaul of the entire Seven Drifts story, CRADLE has found what might definitely be its true place in the story.

Take or leave a few scenes I might still add or drop before it, CRADLE is now scene #12 in Seven Drifts - close to the middle of the first act. Not having to be a structural turning point or crisis anymore, it has complete freedom to reveal and express whatever it needs or wants to.

CRADLE has a new, augmented working name: DRIFT & CRADLE. The scene is a bit longer too, because it involves more story elements than it used to.

It's still a short read.

And I think it's super duper cooler too - or I hope so!

If you had a chance to read CRADLE before in its previous version, I'm curious... Can you spot the differences?

If you haven't had a chance to read it yet... Now's an excellent time.

Without further ado...
